The property is situated in a very quiet spot. It is a 3 minutes drive to Samara downtown, where all shops and services are located. Nicoya is 37 Km. away - banks, hospitals, bigger supermarkets and other services are available there. San Jose is just an hour away - The Puerto Carrillo airport is only 15 minutes from home and the daily flights to San Jose take 45 minutes. Playa Samara is connected by a paved road all the way to San José - about a 5 hour drive. There is also a regular daily bus service between San José and Samara / Nicoya.
The main front view from home is of Playa Buena Vista and of farms and pastures. The back view is of rolling hills and mountains and miles and miles of tropical rain forest with lots of old trees and wildlife. Towards the East, there is a partial view of Playa Samara. The property front line of 33 meters is parallel to the public road that leads you to Samara or Nosara. The land is partially located on a hill. The House is located on top of the hill.
The main house is composed of a large living room with an open kitchen, master bedroom with an attached bathroom and walk-in closet, hallway, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a wrap around terrace. 15 foot [5 meters] high ceilings through ought the house. Every room in the house is wired for a telephone and TV connection.

There are 2 other bedrooms and 1 full bathroom with bath - option to install Jacuzzi. The larger bedroom has windows on three sides of the room and faces the forest. All rooms, kitchen and living room have ceiling fans. Both bedrooms have large built-in closets.
A fully equipped modern kitchen with built-in cabinets with wooden doors, large double-door refrigerator, oven, stoves and washbasins are built-in. Some household electric appliances, kitchen pots, pans and dishes are also included.
The totally independent and self-contained apartment has an open kitchen/living room area, bedroom with a view of the forest, a large closet and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has built-in cabinets with wooden doors. The materials used throughout the apartment are the same as the main house.
Garage, Laundry and Storage rooms
The garage can hold 2 cars. There is a big room (approx 20 m²) lined with shelves that can be used as a gym or office or recreation area. There is an independent spacious laundry room and a separate storage/control room for electric, well and hot water.
Our mature gardens consist of numerous plants: fruit (ornamental, bananas, lemon, orange, papaya, avocado, mango, carambola), plants (croton, hibiscus and other tropical plants). About 300 palm trees were planted 4 years ago along the perimeter wall. There is a water sprinkler system for the lawns throughout the property. The gardens and driveway from the street up to the house is lined with lights.
There is a new path (July 2004) that from the bottom of the hill is leading to the terrace. It is surrounded by several little gardens and fruit trees.
Alarm System: ADT Alarm system protects main house, apartment, garage and storage room.
Water is supplied by the Municipality and there is also a well on the property. This offers you two options for water supply.
The wall, apart from providing privacy, protects the property from animals; we don't have to forget that there are miles of Jungle behind the house. It keeps the property also inaccessible to dogs, cows and horses coming from outside and stops your dogs from going out! In the back of the lot there is a large dog house with a roof. There is a walled in area in the back that could be used as a stable for horses or to grow vegetables and fruit trees.
